Côte d'Azur Attractions  As you might expect the emphasis in this region is on sun, sea and sand.  Amongst our favourite attractions are Aqualand and Aquatica, ideal for those days when you want to have a bit of fun in the water without battling amongst the sun worshippers!  The region also boasts some remarkable scenery with the incredible Massif de l'Esterel, the Lerins Islands and the Gorge du Verdon, the world's second largest gorge, just a couple of hours drive inland.

Location: North of Cannes at the Aire des Bréguières, Autoroute A8 between Juntions 42 and 43.
General Info: Open from June to Sept (10.00 – 18.00) and Oct to May from Tuesday to Sunday (10.00 – 13.00 and 14.00 – 18.00). Adult €7 and children 12-18 years old €5. It is a bit of a walk if you park on the southern side of A8. Tel No: (0)4 93 69 27 80.

Description: A modern museum housed in spacious grounds with a large collection of ‘autmobiles’ spanning the decades. These include – vintage, prestige, sports, formula 1, rally and prototype cars, as well as a smaller collection of military vehicles. The museum is well laid out.
Our recommendations: Of particular appeal to ‘the boys’; although our whole family enjoyed seeing some beautiful old cars at close quarters.

Worth a detour inland is the Gorge du Verdon (details in our Provence section).
