Côte d'Azur Attractions  As you might expect the emphasis in this region is on sun, sea and sand.  Amongst our favourite attractions are Aqualand and Aquatica, ideal for those days when you want to have a bit of fun in the water without battling amongst the sun worshippers!  The region also boasts some remarkable scenery with the incredible Massif de l'Esterel, the Lerins Islands and the Gorge du Verdon, the world's second largest gorge, just a couple of hours drive inland.

Description: The Fragonard Perfumery is one of France’s leading perfume houses. The museum is housed in a beautiful old building in the centre of Grasse. (A more modern laboratory/plant museum can also be visited free of charge on the outskirts of Grasse). This museum offers the visitor a fascinating insight into how the whole perfume-making process has developed over several centuries. The guides are interesting and should keep ones childrens’ attention. Within the museum it is also possible to see a collection of Provençal costumes and jewellery. A ‘boutique’ at the end of the tour sells a range of articles for men and women.
For the children: While the museum perhaps has more appeal to girls, especially those in their teens,  the whole family should enjoy the tour.

Worth a detour inland is the Gorge du Verdon (details in our Provence section).
