Cordes-Sur-CielLot-et-Garonne Towns  The quality of towns and villages here gives the Dordogne a good run for its money! It possesses some real gems, several of which are considered to be the prettiest villages in the whole of France, such as Cordes-sur-Ciel, Puy l'Eveque or our personal favourite St Cirq-Lapopie.  No visit to Lot-et-Garonne can be complete without spending at least some time in one or other of these!

Cordes-sur-Ciel  It’s a must!

Location: 25 km north west of Albi – this is the best approach road for dramatic views of the village.
General Info: General information website.
Description:
A village of considerable beauty, Cordes-sur-Ciel is a medieval hilltop town with a charming central square dating from the 14th century.  It is also
Cordes-sur-Cielexceedingly popular – it can get very busy, especially during the famous Bastille Day (July 14) medieval festival.
Our recommendations: There is no parking at the top of the village so leave your car halfway up - don't be tempted to leave it at the bottom unless you are very fit!  Market day is Saturday.
For the children: 2km from the town Le Garissou offers a small water theme park for those hot sunny days.
