Nord Pas de Calais Attractions  This area of France gets rushed past by hordes heading south, but has some gems that can be enjoyed both  for a holiday close to home, as well as day trips to experience French culture rather than having a booze cruise!  Plan a day trip well and there will be time not only to stock up on wine and spirits, but also to visit a local attraction such as Nausicaa or La Coupole and then top the day off with a meal in a French restaurant!

Log flume at Bagatelle theme parkDescription: This is a well established amusement park with many rides and attractions including family favourites such as log flumes, rafting, rollercoasters, 360degree cinemas, small zoo and the like.
Our recommendations:  It is worth arriving at opening time (10AM) to get the best value from a day here.
For the children:  We think this park will be of most interest to children in the age range 7 – 14.  It’s probably too tame for older teenagers and young children can be accommodated more cheaply elsewhere!
