Normandy Attractions  For family holidays Normandy is an excellent choice with attractions to keep everyone happy, from outdoor activity centres to zoos, museums, a small theme park and miles of sandy beaches. For those interested in history the region is full of museums dedicated to Roman History, the Norman Conquest and the Second World War - especially D Day.  And in the heart of Normandy you will find wonderful rolling countryside, gardens and châteaux. Worthy of a trip are Le Mont St-Michel just over the departmental border in Brittany, the Palace de Versailles west of Paris and even Paris itself.

Partially accessible - special rates for disabled visitorsParc Festyland

Location: Situated on the south side of Caen, at Bretteville sur-Odon, just off the peripherique where the A81 leaves for Nantes.
General Information: High season (July/August) prices are €13 for an adult and €11 for a child up to 12 years old.  Open 10.00-19.00 in July/August. More limited opening April through to Sept.  At other times check the website for details.
Description: This modern theme park has been purpose built for family entertainment.  It's full of different rides such as roller coasters, water flumes, magic roundabouts, 180 degree cinema and many different types of entertainments.
Our recommendations: Ask for a family nombreuse discount, even if you don't have the card.  You may be lucky!
For the children: Rather bizarrely we feel this misses the mark for younger and older children.  Not really suitable for toddlers and many teenagers will feel there isn't enough to challenge them.  Choose carefully depending on the age of your children.
