Normandy Attractions  For family holidays Normandy is an excellent choice with attractions to keep everyone happy, from outdoor activity centres to zoos, museums, a small theme park and miles of sandy beaches. For those interested in history the region is full of museums dedicated to Roman History, the Norman Conquest and the Second World War - especially D Day.  And in the heart of Normandy you will find wonderful rolling countryside, gardens and châteaux. Worthy of a trip are Le Mont St-Michel just over the departmental border in Brittany, the Palace de Versailles west of Paris and even Paris itself.

Description: Closed since the start of the 20th century the slate stone quarries at Caument have been given a new lease of life with a subterranean voyage of discovery through 400 metres of galleries, culminating  in a ‘son-et-lumière’ and an underground rainbow – the Arc en Terre as the showpiece.
Our recommendations: There is an excellent restaurant at the site as well as a picnic area. Disabled people are welcomed here.
For the children: The site also has a ‘mini-golf’ course if wandering in underground caverns is not your childrens' thing.
