Paris Attractions  Paris is packed with tourist destinations such as the Eiffel Tower,  although not enough to keep the children entertained for a full week, unless you want to make the most of Disneyland Resort Paris.  However the attractions here will easily give you several days of entertainment and you could mix and match a few carefully chosen monuments/museums in between to keep the balance of culture!

Parc Asterix

Location: 35km north of Paris, near the airport.  By Métro/RER, take the B3 line, from Châtelet or Gare du Nord stations. Get off at Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle 1 station.
General Info: Prices €35 and €25. Slightly reduced prices for families but have your passports with you. Opens for new season on 5th April 07 – 7th Nov. Open weekends and Wednesdays only in Sept/Oct.  Check the website for futher information.
Description: A traditional theme park based around the classic French cartoon character "Asterix".  And of course it is more French than Euro Disney!
Our recommendations: Start with the 'Spies of Caesar' ride, a leisurely pedal around a track built high above all the attractions.  This is a good way of working out where everything is.  Make sure you have a go on the Goudurix rollercoaster which turns you upside down no less than seven times during the ride!  If you are staying in Central Paris there is a great bargain to be had for a day at the Parc. Take a special shuttle from The Louvre, departing at 8.45 am for an all inclusive price of €45 adults and €31 children
For the children: Provides a nice balance for all ages with wicked rides for the older children, whilst there are gentle rides, sideshows and activities for the really young ones.

Within easy reach of Paris are the splendid châteaux of Versailles and Fontainbleu, as well as Monet's home town of Giverny.
