Paris Attractions  Paris is packed with tourist destinations such as the Eiffel Tower,  although not enough to keep the children entertained for a full week, unless you want to make the most of Disneyland Resort Paris.  However the attractions here will easily give you several days of entertainment and you could mix and match a few carefully chosen monuments/museums in between to keep the balance of culture!

Jardin des Tuileries

Location: Alongside the Seine between the Louvre and the Place de la Concorde.

Description: These are beautiful gardens full of tree lined walkways and modern sculptures.  They’re a good place to people watch, get some fresh air and to allow the children to let off steam.

For the children: Hire boats for the youngsters to sail on the hexagonal pond at the Place de la Concorde end of the gardens.  Mums and Dads can recharge their batteries (along with the kids) while sitting down to watch the children sail their boats back and forth across the pond.

Within easy reach of Paris are the splendid châteaux of Versailles and Fontainbleu, as well as Monet's home town of Giverny.
