East
France covers a huge area, including Alsace, Lorraine, Franche Comté
and the Jura. There is a lot of beauty in the region with
delightful mountains, valleys and attractive historical towns. If
you want to get away from it all for your holiday or if you enjoy
walking in attractive scenery then this
could be the region for you.
We’ve had
a very pleasant holiday here although we spent most of our time in the huge
campsite, in the pool, boating on one of the three
lakes or taking the bikes for a ride to the local village. When we
did venture further afield we found some pleasant places but they tended
to be few and far between. One of the delights of the area was the
total absence of traffic, even in the peak season.
